JCRC Message Following Tragic Murder of Sarah Milgrim & Yaron Lischinsky

JCRC is saddened and shocked by the shooting that occurred last night outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC and mourn the loss of the two individuals killed in the attack.

Our hearts are with their families and loved ones, and with all those who are impacted by this tragic act of antisemitic violence.

We join with Jewish organizations all over the world - and especially our colleagues at AJC who were hosting the event - in calling out this cowardly act.
This is yet another horrific example of how extreme attitudes about Israel can result in acts of terror aimed at the Jewish community.

The rise in antisemitic hate and violence is real and the safety of our local Jewish communities must remain a top priority for us and our law enforcement partners.

We will continue working closely with our security team, the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, and our agency partners to monitor the situation and keep our community safe and informed.
