Director of Operations

Full Time | Hybrid | Must be located in St. Louis, Missouri region

Immediate Hire

Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000 with Full Benefits Package

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Operations will report to the Executive Director and will coordinate, oversee and implement all aspects of agency operations and development for this small non-profit agency. The role will require the professional to have a proven record of accomplishment of managing and executing major gift and annual fund programs and a myriad of special events, and will provide support in creating web site content, social media outreach, and writing community newsletters, press releases, and donor stewardship materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executive Director and Board Support
    • Provide organizational structure and ongoing follow up for ED’s appointments, meetings, and projects.
    • Coordinate all administrative aspects of regular Board of Directors and Council meetings, including agenda preparation, reports and presentations, meeting notes and minutes.
    • Assume overall responsibility for all operational logistics for large meetings and programs.
  • Financial
    • Daily bookkeeping, including processing donations, preparing deposits, and bill payment via QuickBooks and Donor Perfect.
    • Serves as liaison with accountant to ensure timely and accurate financial statements, providing program-level analysis.
    • Support agency development efforts including donation acknowledgment as well as comprehensive support for the Annual Campaign
    • Work closely with program directors to ensure fiscal compliance for all programs and initiatives.
  • Development
    • Re-envision and execute major gift and annual fund development plans to meet financial goals.
    • Identify major gift funding sources and work with JCRC leadership to develop solicitation strategies to secure gifts.
    • Manage grant writing and foundation relationships ensuring quality submissions with a long-term relationship-management approach.
    • Train volunteers and staff in the solicitation of gifts.
    • Manage the annual fund campaign.
  • Overall Agency Operations
    • Coordinate internal communications and meeting schedules.
    • Maintain employee personnel files, including insurance and benefit information and coordinate staff onboarding including payroll and benefits.
