Program Manager

Full-Time | Suite of Benefits | Hybrid

Salary $50,000 - $55,000 a year.

Position Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and overseeing all JCRC programs, including education, social action, and interfaith relations. The Program Manager will work to convene and mobilize members of the Jewish community and engage constituents in other religious, ethnic, civic, and political groups regarding key social justice issues impacting the greater St. Louis area to strengthen and solidify internal and external relationships.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate large-scale community education events and advocacy programs including overseeing and coordinating volunteers and committees.
  • Create and manage budgets involving all programs, proactively solicit sponsors, and improve donor relations via appreciation events.
  • Manage and coordinate interfaith engagement, including dialogue groups and programs to foster interactions between members of the broader Jewish community and other ethnic and religious communities.
  • Manage marketing and communication related to JCRC organizational programming.
  • Actively support the day-to-day operations of the JCRC by implementing effective processes that promote effective team communication and positively impact JCRC organizational culture.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Jewish values, history, heritage, culture, and community.
  • Demonstrates the capability as an implementer who thrives on effectively managing a variety of key initiatives while prioritizing and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to remain focused and meet deadlines while working independently or in collaboration with team members in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Proficiency with common office applications and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Outlook; Word; Excel; WordPress; Facebook; Twitter; and Adobe Creative Suite.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Jewish Studies, Religious Studies, Marketing, Business, or related field required.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in: event planning; community organizing; public policy; or non-profit work.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in non-profit marketing and communications.

Physical Requirements

  • Light sedentary office work.
  •  Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to travel domestically.
  • Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
