Cheryl Adelstein
Cheryl Adelstein, is a nonprofit consultant with two going concerns, Stellar Strategists and Adelstein Interim Executive Services.
Cheryl has a long history with the JCRC, serving as a Council member representing Hadassah in the 2000’s, and as a board member from 2015-2018. She then transitioned to the JCRC staff and served as Deputy Director from 2019-2023, and as Interim Executive Director in early 2024.
Cheryl has more than 30 years of local government and community relations experience in the St. Louis region, including serving as the Village Administrator of Swansea Illlinois, the first Executive Director of Central Reform Congregation and as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Community Relations and Local Government Affairs at Washington University in St. Louis.
In addition to the JCRC Board, Cheryl serves as the Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee of LEADSTL and a member of the New Jewish Theater Guild. In 2023, she was recognized by JPROSTL with the Visionary Award, by LEADSTL as a Troublemaker of the Best Kind, and by the St. Louis County NAACP for outstanding community relations.
Cheryl received her B.A. from American University in International Studies and her Master of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Cheryl and her husband, Daniel Davison, are members of Central Reform Congregation and have resided for the past 35 years in their 140-year old home in the Benton Park neighborhood of south St. Louis.
