After 737 Days in Hamas Captivity, JCRC Says, "Welcome Home"

We join the citizens of Israel, the Jewish people, and all people of good conscience in celebrating the final living hostages returning home.

We also mourn the men and women whose lives were taken by Hamas during their captivity, and pray that the remaining bodies will soon be brought home.

We hold the hostages and their families in our hearts as they begin to recover from this unimaginable trauma.

Thanks and gratitude are due to this administration, the previous administration, and the delegations from the United States, Israel, and the region, whose pivotal efforts made this and previous hostage releases possible.

We hope this recent ceasefire and hostage release will lead to something more permanent - and bring about a new beginning for Israelis, the people of Gaza, and all Palestinians looking forward for a better future.

Today, people invested in the resolution of this conflict can either continue invoking hatred and one sided blame or be part of a long overdue healing process for all.
